So far, Eddie isn't regretting the offer to take Stan and Darcy's kids for the night so that they can have time to recharge their batteries without three kids moving around the space while they're trying to do so. The twins are doing their puzzles with Chrissy and Olivia is fighting sleep while laying against Eddie's chest, watching the twins.
On the whole, they've been quiet over the last fifteen or twenty minutes and the initial chaos of their arrival has long since died down. When the kids first arrived, the twins were both wound up with the novelty of being in a new apartment with a new person. They're familiar with Eddie, but Chrissy is new to them, and their excitement to both get and then keep her attention while competing with each other to do just that had gotten a little overwhelming. At this point in the evening, though, after they've gotten used to being in the new apartment and they've stopped fighting over Chrissy's attention, and after everyone has had dinner, the quiet is a welcome respite. No wonder Stan and Darcy needed a little bit of time to themselves.
"Okay, when you finish that puzzle, it'll be bathtime, boys," Eddie announces, causing Olivia to lift her head and grunt with distaste at the idea of bathtime, probably because Eddie's the one saying it and not her dad. "Chrissy, do you want to help out and crank out all three of them at once, or do you want to be on baby duty first, then get the twins dressed for bed while I give Ollie her bath?"

She watches as Con nods his head with a chirped 'okay' for Eddie at him laying out what they're doing after they finish the puzzle. The blonde shifts her body to get a better look at Eddie as she considers how she'd rather tackle bathtime with the trio of tiny people. "I'll help out - might make it easier 'cause someone over there looks a little sleepy, better to get it over with quicker." Chrissy grins at the little girl blinking owlishly and stuffing her thumb into her mouth as she tries to keep the rush of sleep from taking over.
Chrissy deals with kids all the time, so she feels pretty comfortable with the three of them here, and it's kind of nice seeing Eddie's goddaughter and Darcy's twins. "What do you think, boys, we'll make our own little assembly line?" And amusement only pulls further at her mouth as Con readily agrees, grinning and nodding - though she's not sure if it's just that he's an agreeable little boy or he really likes the idea of bathtime assembly time.
"So that's two votes for cranking it out." Chrissy grins, amusedly, at her roommate.

"All right, I'll tell you what, then," he starts, getting to his feet. Olivia's head lifts again and she whines, arms flailing unhappily at the prospect of both being disturbed from her comfortable spot and at bathtime, presumably because she knows that means bedtime is next. "I'll start the water since it looks like you guys are almost done, and then you can come join us when you're ready. Sound good, boys?"
Clark is already trying to negotiate "five more minutes" when Conner speaks over him to cry out "yeah!" in agreement with Eddie's terms.
"Uh oh, Chrissy, you better be the tie-breaking vote," he jokes, moving across the living room and toward the bathroom. "You only have about ten pieces left to place, so you better vote quick, kiddo," he adds playfully.

They haven't really put a name to it, but he knows Chrissy's not seeing anyone else and she knows he's definitely not and that's enough. On the nights he's not playing with the band and Chrissy's not busy hanging out with Lydia it's generally agreed that they try to fit in a date. They haven't finalized plans for tonight, but that's part of the beauty of their unspoken agreement. It's wide open to possibilities.
Tonight, Eddie's wearing ripped jeans and an Iron Maiden t-shirt, his hair a humid mass of out of control frizz pulled back into a loose ponytail. He knocks on the apartment door, rocking on his heels.

Turning back toward the door, Chrissy opens it, standing there in her leggings and her overlarge sweater with her hair up. "Eddie hi!" Chrissy's face both brightens and a flash of surprise takes over as she realizes that she didn't let him know that she was helping babysit. It's almost automatic that she leans in and kisses him on the cheek before opening the door wider to reveal the blonde twins seated at their puzzle, Con craning his head to get a better view at the visitor so close to bath and bedtime with a chirped out hi and a wave for the older boy.
"Come in - I completely forgot to call you or swing by to tell you that I was helping babysit tonight." Chrissy gives him an apologetic look but gestures between the twins and Eddie. "This is Clark and Conner - boys this is Eddie Munson." Chrissy introduces with a smile. It's not a date, and if he wants to leave she will understand, but any time with Eddie is a good time as far as Chrissy is concerned and that has yet to change. "They're Darcy's boys - she's the new woman with the brown hair - and she's Stan's roommate currently, who is his best friend." Chrissy explains, gesturing toward her roommate, realizing just how ridiculous it is that two of the most important people in her life are both named Eddie...

She's toddling around the bathroom naked while Eddie gets her pajamas out of her bag along with a fresh diaper. It's lost on him that she wanders out of the bathroom entirely while he's digging through her diaper bag for the baby shampoo. He knows he saw it in there earlier, where the hell did it manage to go?
In the living room, Clark and Conner are both regarding the newcomer with interest as Chrissy gestures him inside.
Conner chirps out a cheerful greeting, waving, and then turning his attention back to the puzzle.
"Why's your hair long like my mom's?" Clark blurts out curiously in lieu of repeating his brother's greeting. This twin gets up from his spot and starts toward Chrissy, taking her hand and tugging her arm. "Come on, we only got five minutes," he reminds her urgently.
"Uh oh, 'livia..." Conner's voice pipes up and he's already starting to get up to go get the naked toddler when Eddie bursts out of the bathroom after her.
He scoops the little girl up in a towel, nervously laughing because holy shit wouldn't Stan murder him thirty-seven times over if she tripped and fell and busted her head open while Eddie was rooting around a fucking diaper bag for shampoo? Jesus fucking Christ...
"Whoa, there, kiddo, we don't do naked time at Uncle Eds' house, no ma'am, we do—" he stops abruptly, noticing that Chrissy has let Eddie in, a little surprised but mostly embarrassed. "—not...hey there, Eddie," he finishes awkwardly, eyes shifting from the younger man over to Chrissy.
"Can I just ask that you help with bathtime before you head out if you're going? Please?" he asks, drawing the please into a pathetic, pleading whine that's only half-joking with desperation.

Eddie moves inside the apartment, already shrugging off his jacket and ready to lend a hand if it means getting to spend more time with Chrissy. He reaches up and curls a strand of hair around his finger at Clark's question. "Because I'm awesome," he supplies easily as the other boy tries to steal his date.
Suddenly there's a naked toddler toddling towards them and Eddie raises his eyebrows, giving Eddie a nod as he scoops her up. "Hey." At the prospect of still possibly being able to head out after bathtime, Eddie claps his hands together. "Oh shi—-oot, it's bath time?" He asks, his eyes going wide. "Chrissy, you didn't tell me it was bath time. Will there be bubbles? Do you need me to test the water temp? Do I need to hunt down a rubber duck?"
"Which one of these three is hitting the high seas first?" He glances at the kids, landing on Olivia and pointing at her in Eddie's arms. "This lady pirate, must be the lucky one." He reaches for Olivia's hand, kissing it. "Charmed, milady. Eddie Munson at your service."

She feels a little bad that she forgot to call him and let him know, but there is a part of her that already knows she's not going to be okay with leaving, not after she promised to help with the boys and Olivia... but maybe Eddie won't mind hanging out here despite their usual plans?
"I'm not going to abandon you, Eddie - don't worry." She reassures her older roommate, offering her Eddie (Muson clearly) an apologetic look only to be interrupted by an insistent little 'Here this one next' followed by another piece from Conner while Clark continues to eye the newcomer. It really has, somehow, gone from sort of controlled to chaos, and yet Chrissy can't stop smiling for some, she's sure, stupid reason. Biting her bottom lip so as not to giggle at the naked child or the antics of her Eddie, Chrissy instead manages to muster herself up to actually answer.
"I mean you didn't ask and I didn't remember you were coming - I'll be sure to keep you updated next time... and I think Miss Olivia is going first and the boys here have t-minus 3 minutes and it looks like six puzzle pieces left!" Chrissy announces, picking another piece up to hand to Clark, who takes it after a moment, trying to jam it into a spot similarly to before. Conner snatches the piece from his brother.
"Stooooop you're gonna break it!"
"No I'm not!"
"Chrissy told you not to do it!"
"Give it back!"
"Boys...." Chrissy interrupts after a mere moment (Conner quickly apologizing at the admonishment), holding her hand out for the puzzle piece. Conner hands it over dutifully and Chrissy divvies the remaining pieces between the two, keeping the one they were fighting over and one more for herself to avoid any unevenness. Both twins move to insert pieces, Chrissy watching Clark and him going about it gentler this time around.
"Why do you got the same name? And I don't think they got any rubberduckies those are for babies anyway not pirates. Pirates got parrots and hooks." Clark sasses as he moves onward to the next piece, trying to beat his brother, but a certain Eddie Munson clearly has his attention - that's for sure.

At the kiss to her hand, Olivia shrieks with laughter and tugs her hand away, hugging it to her chest for a few seconds before throwing her arm out again, as if offering the younger Eddie her hand again for another kiss. "Jesus, Liv, you're not even talking in full sentences yet, you're trying to steal boyfriends already?" he jokes.
He looks back at Chrissy, secretly — or maybe not so secretly — marveling at the ease with which she controls the chaos that are Darcy's twins. Mental note: never ever offer to take all three of these kids ever again unless he's absolutely sure Chrissy is willing and able to help because...holy shit.
"Yeah, Olivia's going in, so I can get her clean and she can play in the tub while the boys get their turn. T-minus two minutes, rugrats," he calls to the boys over the other Eddie's shoulder. "Hey...behave for Chrissy. If I hear you fighting, you're going to bed right after bathtime just like the baby is," he threatens before heading back toward the bathroom with his goddaughter, still wrapped in her towel, in his arms. Overhearing the question from Clark as he goes, Eddie calls over his shoulder, "because all the cool kids born in the 60s and 70s were named Eddie!" before disappearing into the bathroom to start Olivia's bath.
As soon as he gets in there, he shuts off the bath and sets Olivia down. "All right, little girl...tubby time," he tells her, folding the towel and setting it on the toilet lid before lifting her into the tub.
There are not, as it turns out, bubbles in the tub because Eddie hadn't even thought of it. He feels a little guilty about that, in retrospect because that's not a half-bad idea. Next time, he tells himself. Next time, he'll make sure he has bubble bath on hand.
He's grateful that Olivia seems to like bathtime. She doesn't throw a tantrum or try to wiggle away from him as he dumps Solo cup after Solo cup over her head first to wet her hair, then to rinse it after the shampoo. Eddie gets her up to her feet and squirts baby body wash into a microfiber washcloth Stanley packed — for which Eddie is grateful because, really, it's a lot softer than the terry cloth ones he has here. As soon as he's washed Olivia's body, he helps her sit back down in the tub and rinses her off, before telling her to have fun and flinching at the water in his face when she instantly shrieks with laughter and starts splashing excitedly.
"Time's up, boys! Let's go!" he calls out to the twins. "This ship is about to set sail without you, better hurry up if you don't want to be left behind!"

Eddie moves to hide the disappointment as Olivia offers her hand to him again and he gives it another kiss, winking at her and speaking loud enough so that Chrissy can hear after Eddie's comment about boyfriend stealing. "What are you doing after bathtime, milady? My night is suddenly free."
He's only teasing though, testament to the fact that he releases Olivia's hand and moves over to join the boys and Chrissy at the table, leaning over the puzzle. "What he said," he says about the sharing of the name. He gasps at Clark. "Are you telling me you've never seeing a pirate with a duck instead of a parrot on his shoulder? They're way better, they don't talk back and they quack really menacingly. Like this..." He leans down close to Clark's face and quacks twice before shifting and doing it to Chrissy before planting a kiss on her cheek.
