I'm sure all of you have seen these plastered in the lobby, but just in case:

All proceeds will benefit the Eglaf Community Food Bank. There will be a bar, food and a local DJ. There will also be a silent auction to help raise additional funds for a renovation of our building. Please come, let loose and help us raise money for a great cause!

If anyone is interested in volunteering either for the event, or for potential autographs and photo ops, please let me know.

Um, I love this idea a ton. Kid-friendly or not so much?

Yes! There will be a separate area for children with games and activities. I didn't realize any of the displaced had children!

Oh, perfect! I think Stan and I are the only ones with kids. I'm usually they only one, so that's a nice change lol. I'm convinced that it's because the first time I ever involuntarily traveled interdimensionally, I was still pregnant with them and now they've been marked just the same as I have. In my experience, once you've made the first trip, you're likely to continue making them whether you like it or not. I'm a pro at this point.

What kind of help do you need? My hands are kind of full, so I don't know that I can volunteer in the conventional sense, but I'm an event planner so if you need any consultations or ideas and you don't mind me doing it remotely, I'm happy to help.

I'm Darcy, by the way. I don't think we've met, yet?

Hi, Darcy. I'm May. I've done my fair share of fundraisers, but I always appreciate a second pair of eyes to see if we can make it even better. Remotely is fine. I can even come to you.

on the one hand, I'm so glad that your family is able to stay together, but I'm sure being pulled into different universes is a huge pain in the ass. You have my sympathies.

Peter's May? Oh my God, I've been wanting to meet you, hi! Either works for me. If you think it would be easier to come to me because you have materials in hard copy you need me to see, then that's fine. Just let me know when works for you. I don't really bother with the jobs they give us here because I don't like the idea of leaving the boys in daycare here and I don't have a big enough network here, yet, to have my own source of childcare. So, for now, I'm very much open as far as scheduling goes.

Oh, thanks. It is. It's a huge pain, especially if I end up in a place with the little twins where their older counterparts (or there's a daughter I haven't had yet floating around the multiverse, as well) are also stuck. It's a lot lol but I'm pretty old hat at it now. I've been stuck in this travel loop for years, now. It could be worse than here, though, trust me.

Oh, you know Peter too? I'll stop by with my current plans and you can look them over to see if you have any expert suggestions.

I absolutely know Peter, my kids are, like, obsessed with Spider-Man and the whole damn Avengers gang. The last time I was here, there was some weird portal glitch and I ended up with Peter's Spider-Man powers for like a week. Really do not envy him. At all. He's such a good kid, though, so whatever you were doing, you were doing something right, sweetie. I'm in 301. Stop by any time!

Oh, girl...the shit I could tell you. We should go grab coffee sometime. Rope Peter and Prim into watching my kids and dish. I'm sure you've got stories to tell, too. All moms and honorary moms do, after all.

Hey May, I talked to my roommates and they're going to come and volunteer with me. I think I might be able to get a couple of friends from home to help out, too. How many people do you need, do you think?

That's fantastic, Robin! Thank you so much. I think as many as we can wrangle. The more people we have to volunteer the shorter the shifts so the volunteers can have fun too.

Yeah, no problem! I'll see if I can't get Chrissy and Eddie to help then...and if I can get Steve, he might be able to get his roommates, too, so there's a potential for another five.

Steve and his roommates are in. And Chrissy already spoke up, up there, so yeah! That's six of us right here. Just let me know what time we should show up. I'll come early and help you decorate if you want. I have to work until 6 and then eat, but we're wearing costumes at work that day, so I'll already have all that makeup and crap out of the way. I can probably make it as early as like quarter to 7?

I'd offer to volunteer but I think my curmudgeon card might be revoked if I did. If you need any behind-the-scenes assists, though, you know where to find me.

Not quite. They got me to agree to come using a cane and telling everyone I was going as an old man for Halloween. That's about as good as anyone's ever going to get, so I have to commend their creativity there.

Please tell me that you have roped Derek into volunteering to help - if not this is officially me offering my services to nudge him to do so.

And please - sign me up to volunteer I'd love to help.

I'll be over to bully him into coming - don't think it'll take much but better safe than sorry - and I'll give you a hand in cooking that way I'm not putting you out too much.

You're always welcome at the apartment, especially if you're helping with the cooking. They think they're being subtle about it, but I think Peter has been asking Prim to give me some tips.

Be careful what you say - before you became Derek's roommate I basically just walked in most of the time - I still slip up every so often but it's mainly been when you weren't home to talk with Derek. Kids always think they're more subtle than they actually are.
